Wish i could have made the show. While he did play many “deep tracks” I did think i might have been a little annoyed that he played kiss stuff that he did not sing on. I would have rather heard more Ace solo, especially off his new one. Who needs to hear Love Gun again? But strange ways? Damn, that would have been sweet!

A lot of great bands get up to the Wolf Den…..Kix was just there on 3/6 and I missed them but Helix is coming on 4/17 and I will be there! I emailed Brian Vollmer to see if they were doing any meet and greets and he said he would be out at the merch booth after the gig.

Man, you can’t beat – free! Especially when it’s Ace Frehley!! Sounds like that was one terrific night. I saw Frehley’s Comet back around ’87/’88 at the West Hartford Ballroom in West Hartford, CT. That first album of theirs is really potent. I understand your liking Frehley’s Comet so much! Very cool that Ace played “Talk To Me”. Seeing Ace Frehley up close, like you did, really is something to remember. Excellent.

I want to get up there to the Wolf Den someday myself… too many great bands make a stopover there. Again, very cool post… long live Space Ace!

Hey Man,
I’m also a die-hard Kiss fan, and big fan of Ace as well. Sucks I missed him on his tour, but thanks for reviewing the show! I write my own metal music blog.
