I'm two month late.

Let me say this, for anyone who might drop by here months later :)

I was the hardest-core Judas Priest fan until British Steel, maybe two albums further. Then they disappeared into oblivion for me.

But I never stopped loving their music and their attitude.

This 30th Anniversary edition is the absolute shit. Forget the awful-sounding remaster of the original album. The live DVD (and the live CD) are where it's at.

No matter what, I always take "Steeler" as the stepping stone of what Judas Priest was like. All I can and will say is this:

On this live DVD/CD ...

a) The Band (and Rob Halford) have never looked better;
b) The band (and Rob Halford) have aged very well and deliver ...
cI a KICK-ASS version of not only "Steeler". B.R.I.L.L.I.A.N.T.

This is as close as you'll ever get to Judas Priest heaven. And I'm the critical fellow!

Beg.
Steal
& Borrow.

The original album cover of "British Steel" was supposed to have the blood, but it had to be taken off, due to censoring issues. Come on, man, lighten up! The original cover had a hand grasping a razor blade, don't you think there would be blood? This is a celebration of that album, and I think the new cover is great. Judas Priest can hang with any of the the Thrash Legends with ease. Slayer has opened up for them on many occasions, and when "Painkiller" came out, it made almost all of the thrash bands step back and give praise to the mighty priest. Again, I think the new album cover is great, and yes, the Priest is back!

Why change the cover art of "British Steel" if it isn't broke? The original cover art of "British Steel" truly is a classic, along with every song on this iconic Judas Priest album. The fake blood doesn't truly fit this British Steel album, IMO, us fans from way back don't need to be "lured" by the shock and awe. Sure, "Grinder" is on this album, still, it is only one song that could be paralleled with the blood. Judas Priest has always been coveted for their unreal great Heavy Metal cover art that "fits" their music.

I'm a huge Death Metal fan and the bloody razor blade would fit more adequately with an Obituary or Suffocation album cover. Better still, this "new" cover artwork of "British Steel" fits Thrash Legends - Slayer without a question mark. I always and forever shall revere Judas Priest... it's the songs on "British Steel" that matter the most.

It's like reissuing the Ratt album - "Invasion of Your Privacy"... and the girl on the cover is wearing corpse paint. It just doesn't fit the total package of songs at all.
