[...] Methods Of Mayhem – A Public Disservice Announcement (2010): Without a doubt, this is the WORST album I heard in 2010. I tried, I really did, but it was so hard to try and sit through the entire album and I tried at least a half dozen times. I’m all for solo projects, I’m all for experimenting with different styles but when you advertise and market a new album in Hard Rock and Heavy Metal circles then it better have some Hard Rock or Heavy Metal in it! This is Alternative, Nu-Metal and Rap beats all thrown together, with outside contributions from guest musicians and fans, to create a wall of sound that is so just a bunch of noise. This album is 10 years too late and even then that’s a stretch. I never bought this album and I am so glad I didn’t waste my $13, I just feel bad for the guy I borrowed this from because there’s no way this album was worth 13 cents rather than $13. I would even go as far as saying that this album might even be worse than last year’s Worst Album of the Year. [...]

OMG…I live in NZ and the album just wasn’t available…I’ve want to hear it for some time as I’ve been a Lita Ford fan since Out for blood but after reading the reviews…I’m too bloody scared to listen to it. :)

[...] Lita Ford – Wicked Wonderland (2009): This had to be the easiest pick for the absolute worst album of 2009! Just one listen was all it took for me but I made the mistake of listening to it twice, even three times. WICKED WONDERLAND was supposed to be Lita’s big comeback but it turned out to be the worst album I have ever heard her release. Gone is the Melodic Metal sound that made her career and now we have this down-tuned Industrial drone full of sexually specific lyrics about her marriage to former Nitro singer Jim Gillette. I’m all for changing styles, for trying to be current, but WICKED WONDERLAND is a complete opposite of everything that Lita Ford has released previously. Of all the albums I have heard in the last four years of this website, this is by far the worst of them all. A wasted comeback. [...]

Wicked Wonderland is instantly forgettable. Jim Gillette was never a bona fide rock star, and Lita’s biggest mistake was putting him on her record and erasing all of her trademark identity from it. I love heavier guitars, but Jim’s vocals and the lyrics in general are insulting and horrible to listen to. I guess the bloom is off Lita’s rose. Just another example of a hugely talented rocker totalling wasting their talent. Maybe in 10 years we’ll get a Lita Christmas album featuring her husband, kids, hell, maybe even the dog. Because the only place to go from this wretched release is up.
