Great buys STEVE like always. Great you are getting into death metal. Check out also all those glory SWEDISH DEATH METAL bands (specialy the records released between 1989 and 1993) from GRAVE, UNLEASHED, ENTOMBED, THERION, TIAMAT, etc...
SCREAM BLOODY GORE is a great record, yeahhh!!!
about IMMORTAL, i saw them live last summer and they were okay. Of course today they are the KISS from BLACK METAL and the old and primative black metal spirit is totaly lost, but live they still had some cool parts. My fave IMMORTAL album is DIABOLICAL FULLMOON MYSTICISM from 1992. Check out old CARPATHIAN FOREST Steve.
I still have to buy the last ANVIL album, but i will.
And yes, the new UDO rules!!!!!!! I am going to see them live soon, very soon. First next week BRAINSTORM, JADED HEART and PRIMAL FEAR in MADRID. Hope it will be good.
Take care Steve and keep buying forever.

Hey Man,
Love reading your documentations of your music purchases and playlists. I've reviewed alot of these titles on my own blog. I'd be curious to hear your thoughts. My roots of my love for metal music grew from becoming a fan of Kiss & Guns N' Roses in the late 80's, then branched out from there over the years. Really like "Sonic Boom", but have truly been looking forward to Ace's "Anomaly" more, just haven't found it yet. I'll keep checking your blog periodically. Rock on!

Anomaly is fantastic. I thought it blew Sonic Boom out of the water (not that Sonic was bad). Overall, Endgame has my pick for album of the year at this point. Looking forward to what Slayer has to offer on November 3rd.

I like that pile you have there... there must be an appropriate label for the behavior of buying a newly issued CD and then letting it sit - I am guilty as heck of this too. Part of being a Metalhead is hoarding a stash of new and unopened Metal CD's... it just feels right. Excellent choice with Death... if you never dabbled too much into this genre, then jump into Obituary - especially if you like Death. (Maybe you already are into Obituary). "Darkest Day" by Obituary was released this past Summer, it "might" be my favorite album of the entire year, it honestly is that great. UFO is simply classic. I need to get the new Jorn and 3 Inches of Blood... I am not too sure about Bitchfire though... I think I will wait for your review on that one!
