Alot better than I expected….. some middle ground rock, but soem great dark moments….
Overall – i really liked it.

Give it a few listens …

These days, Alice needs to do a thoughtful album, as you cant shock anymore….
not at his age!!!… so here we have a concept album that when i listened, i saw
The Bates motel, 60s hammer horror, modern serial killers, gentle sinister killers…
retro horror and modern twists.

8/10 from me.

Many people thought that Coop would return to the heavy sound of Brutal Planet and Dragontown. But Along Came a Spider has much more garage rock than the fans of Coop could expect. The first song released from the album “Vengeance is Mine” is the only metal song in the album. Rest of the songs are quite simple garage rockers. That’s a really good thing because garage rock is the original sound of Alice Cooper. And that’s when he’s the best. Along Came a Spider is very dark concept album with a lot of the vintage Alice sound. This feels like a mix between his last two albums and his 1994 The Last Temptation. Pretty melodic and hard garage rock album, which definetly isn’t a metal album. That’s a great thing for the fans of older Alice Cooper.

I didnt like his last two albums much either. The eyes of alice cooper sounded like a mix between punk rock and garage and the last one to much like the ROLLING STONES in my opinion and that sucks. I listen to some samplers of this new album and dont know what to think about it, didnt like it very much.

Looking like Classick Alice to me! I’m much more excited about this one than his last two, they were good, but I’m not a huge fan of garage rock. It’s time he got back into the darker side of rock.

Sounds like this is gonna be a bit heavier and slicker and that’s A-OK with me!

“Vengeance is Mine” is a cool song.
