I agree–I think he must have had the ’78 album in mind when he approved this design.
Hopefully it’s better than that album, which I really don’t listen to at all anymore, unlike Ace’s.

Live To Win is definitely a grower. At first I wasn’t overly impressed but after having listened to it through about 10 times now I’m really starting to appreciate it.
Most of the songs are not as strong as his ’78 solo album but overall it’s a strong rock album – albeit with a large percentage of ballads.
“live to win” sounds more actually and fresh, when l listen the entire album change my espectatives, its better than the solo album. “lift” stay in my mind all time. paul sounds definitely diffrent, nothing compared with kiss and its good. its like a reborn.
I am really looking forward to this more and more. Damn, I wish I was on the promo list!
I already recieved this album , And it’s amazing , one of Stanley’s finest pieces of work he’s ever done….very modern sounding with Stanley’s distinct vocals , This album if promoted correctly could become a huge success!(I hope so!…He deserves it!)….”Wake Up Screaming” could be a major hit on radio!!!
I love the album but, it needs more guitar and less computer background music filler
LIVE TO WIN is worth the wait…where Gene’s solo album tends to sound like yesterdays baked chicken turned into todays “chicken surpise with gravy”…Paul really worked on this…clearly…it’s fresh…it has Paul written all over it, yet he used the talent available to him to embellish his vision…the man deserves more credit than he’ll probably get…but this album is GREAT…period…i wish i could congratulate him in person…i’m truely proud of him on this…
live to win is killer!!! everything i expected and more! wake up screamin is the best song to come out of paul stanley’s mouth in 10 years! cant wait for the tour have 6 nights booked already and plan on adding more!
It’s comparable but more modern than the 1978 release. The radio hit is “Everytime I see you around”. The other songs are very good although some of the lyrics are a little cheesy.

when i first heard the album i thought it was good but not great… but the more i listen to it the more it grows on me….i still think his 78 solo album was better.
Was ‘Live To Win’ just on a commercial for something? I swear someone had it on in the background.

For the KISS fan in everyone, this album seems a little on the slim side of rock – But for those of us that grew up with the band, this is music we are now old enough to enjoy – It’s not offensive to the ears, and feels good to listen to. I give Paul a thumbs up on this album, and hope the youger KISS fans understand where Paul and US are now as music makers and listeners. In my car, in my house and out by the pool – there, now there are 3 less copies for the whiners to have..
